We have just completed a project to replace an existing hot water heater, sourcing the system from Home Depot, and using their preferred installers, “Universal Water Systems”. This is a review of our experience. (1) Quote We submitted a request for a quote directly from the Home Depot online system. We very quickly received a call from “Erica”, who sent us a short questionnaire regarding our existing system. Erica then quickly found our preferred hot water heater model at a local Home Depot store, and provided a quote for the entire project. She was very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining their process, and provided by email the documents for acceptance of the quote via electronic signature. She also scheduled an installation for the same day. Remarkable! (2) Installation Our installation was led by “Joseph”, who accurately communicated his ETA to us, and, upon arrival, got right to work removing the old system, and replacing it with the new one, including new water and electrical connections, and upgrades to meet local codes. The installation took only about 2 hours. At the end, Joseph explained to us the various components of the installation, and how the new system worked. The old system was then loaded on their vehicle for removal. So, by the end of one day, we had a new, and more efficient, hot water heater in place. (3) Price The purchase and installation were all included in the quoted price, which included picking up the hot water heater itself, all of the necessary connections and added safety features, and the removal of the old system. In addition, Universal Water Systems takes care of the (required) permits for the installation, and arranges for a final inspection. We felt that the quoted price was fair, given the all-inclusive nature of the project. Once the quote was approved, we were able just to sit back and let the Universal team handle all of the details. (4) Recommendation We expect to replace a second hot water system this year, and we will certainly engage Universal Water Systems again for that project. The team is professional, knowledgeable, communicative, and friendly. We highly recommended them.

The installation of my water heater went well without any problems to report. I would recommend Universal Water Systems to anyone needing a water heater replacement.

The overall service was/is exceptional. I've had this system for about 20 years and lately needed to purchase the filter cartridges. The young ladies ( Samara and Atlanta) that welcome you and help you are the bomb. They new exactly what I needed and truly where very impressive. If your looking for a water system, look no further then this company. Let them due a test, you'll see the difference. My kids grew up drinking this water system. Big boys now.
